background
The Prize Pool of the Bangabandhu International Cyber Security Awareness Award 2023 comes from the funding raised at the Golden Jubilee Bangladesh Concert arranged in 2022 at Madison Square Garden, New York City, US celebrating 50 years of the historic ‘Concert for Bangladesh’. German rock band ‘Scorpions’ and Bangladeshi band ‘Chirkutt’ performed in the concert. The original ‘Concert for Bangladesh’ took place at Madison Square Garden on August 1, 1971. Prominent Indian sitarist and composer Ravi Shankar took the initiative while famous pop musician George Harrison, lead guitarist of the Beatles, arranged the concert.
